In an exclusive report from Reuters, major companies TESLA and SolarCity Corp made remarkable progress on carrying out a deal that will merge them together.

According to confidential sources, billionaire Elon Musk could possibly agree on all the terms stated in the deal although there is a huge possibility that the negotiations won’t be successful.

It is still unclear whether SolarCity would include a go-shop supplies in their agreement with Tesla which would allow it to attend to the bids provided by other potential buyers.

Last month, TESLA revealed that it offered SolarCity an all-stock deal that could worth $2.8 billion. The company pointed out that once they are merged with SolarCity, they can create a one-stop clean energy shop that will offer solar panels, electric cars and home battery storage. SolarCity has not given any statement regarding its views on Tesla’s offer, but said that they will evaluate it. Musk, and other Tesla and SolarCity executives refused to vote on the deal between the two companies.

Representatives from the two companies did not give an immediate answer when asked for a comment.

Earlier this month, Elon Musk expressed his plan to create an integrated solar roof with battery product. The TESLA CEO said that he won’t be able to realize his plan if Tesla and SolarCity are separate companies.
