Digital transformation is the way to go in this New Normal. However, there is still much more to be done especially in the Visayas and Mindanao.
Frederick Amores, regional director of the DICT Visayas Cluster 2, noted “the big strides” such as “the emergence of more services and businesses that are digital in nature.”
However, Amores noted several hurdles in terms of policy, costs, and awareness.
He expressed this in VisMin Speaks, a series of interviews published online in PRWorksPH.com. Amores is the first thought leader featured in the post “DICT Visayas director urges digital transformation.”
The next thought leader to be featured shall come from the telecommunications industry. The third shall hail from the Philippines Startup Community.
The newly appointed regional director said businesses and government need to reinvent themselves. There is also the challenge of adopting new delivery systems.
Having been active in helping startup communities and the rural impact sourcing program, Amores is expected to help speed up digital transformation in Visayas and Mindanao.
