If you can’t resist eating meals from McDonald’s, the popular fast food chain has something good for you. Recently, McDonald’s announced its efforts to reduce the use of artificial preservatives in some of their meals.

McDonald’s took away some artificial preservatives in their Chicken McNuggets and removed the corn syrup from their burger buns. To check if it won’t affect their consumers’ taste preference, the burger chain tested their revised McNuggets in its 140 locations last March. When questioned what artificial preservatives are in the nuggets, McDonald’s representatives didn’t give an answer.

The food chain’s new initiative is an effort to win back some of the customers that they’ve lost during the previous years.

In a tweet posted by McDonald’s official Twitter account, the fast food restaurant assures customers that their food products would make them feel good. It’s been some time since McDonald’s planned this move. The food company previously opted for butter instead of margarine for their Egg Mc Muffins. They also added some greens like spinach on some of their burgers. Moreover, Mcdonald’s no longer use chickens which are raised with antibiotics from its supply chain in the United States.

Other fast food outlets that have also made an effort to provide healthier options in their ingredients are Dunkin Donuts, Taco Bell and Subway.
