The very successful month long celebration of the Mandaue Business Month ended with a blast during its gala night held at the Oakridge Pavillion, Cebu Business Park last week.
To honor the very best entrepreneurs in the industry, the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) gave away its first set of Mandaue Chamber or M Awards to those who have shown exemplary business acumen and abilities to innovate that have helped the metropolis of Mandaue flourished.
Five awardees were commended which include individuals, businesses, products, places, and brands which have reached iconic status and serves as an inspiration to the community.
MCCI president Glenn Anthony Soco said that the Mandaue Chamber Awards aims to inspire other entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs in cultivating businesses, which adds value within their organization and the community in general.
For representing the food culture of Mandaue, MCCI gave the Local Product of the Year award to Didang’s Masareal. The organization said that the company “has represented the values of ingenuity, persistence, and hard work of rising above circumstances to create businesses and products that stand the test of time.”
The Global Brand of the Year award was granted to Profood International Corporation for its great example of ingenuity and in setting high quality standard of brand leadership and for putting the Philippine brand on the global stage.
Parkmall Cebu gathered the Destination of the Year award for creating a dynamic space of lifestyle and recreation for residents of Mandaue.
The Foreign investor of the year award was conferred to Dedon Manufacturing Corporation for their outstanding brand and contribution to the Philippine furniture industry.
Humble pioneer Leo Lim Liu of Penshoppe was endowed with the Mentor of the Year award for being an extraordinary example of leadership and mentorship.
MCCI thanked world-renowned furniture designer Mr. Kenneth Cobonpue who designed the trophies for the awards and supports their cause.
