In an unexpected turn of events, Warner Bros.’ upcoming film, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, has partnered up with Turkish AIrlines for a promotional campaign. The campaign includes a Boeing 777 that is outfitted with superhero imagery. There is also a commercial that stars the movie’s Ben Affleck and Jesse Eisenberg.
The partnership launched last month, although many viewers became exposed to it as the commercial first aired during the Oscars red carpet show on Sunday. The promotion itself was born from a notable scene in the movie which takes place within a Turkish Airlines plane. The airline may not be the first brand that springs to viewers’ minds when talking about superheroes, but this is hardly the first time that an air carrier teamed up with Hollywood for a promotional deal.
