Uber May Expand Towards Helicopters Service Soon

Uber is reportedly partnering with a European aircraft company, Airbus, to test out a program to provide helicopter rides on demand. This will be similar to their current service with car rides. Airbus CEO Tom Enders has referred to this joint venture as a very exciting one during an event on Sunday.

For Uber, potential helicopter rides could prove to be the big ticket item that could expand their reach beyond taxi rides. It could also help justify its lofty $62.5 billion valuation. In the past, Uber has experimented with boats, as well as smart routes that mimic bus lines, all to encourage rapid growth. An Uber spokesperson has since confirmed that partnership.
