what is a brand
Your brand is what forms the business and commercial identity of your company. There are a lot of things you can do to develop this personality using a brand. How you come across in commercials is one thing. How you conduct yourself online is another. But when you’re just beginning with brand development, there are more specific things you need to focus on.

You can’t really afford to make mistakes when you’re starting out here. Here’s a quick guide to help you get through the birth process of your brand. It covers logo use as well as the name of your company in the public sphere.

Develop a logo

For many people, the logo is even more important than the company name. I wouldn’t go quite that far (after all, you need the name in order to make the logo!). But there’s no question that a good logo is going to take you very far indeed.

In a society where everything is so heavily image-based, making sure your logo is powerful and instantly recognizable is a must. It’s not as simple a task as simply hiring a graphic designer to draw something pretty. Make sure you know about the intricacies of good logo design.

Get your name secured online

Of course, there’s probably something you should be doing before you get to the logo. If you’ve decided on a name for your company, you need to ensure you secure some space online for it.

Think about all the social media platforms you’re going to use. You need to get on there and make sure you can get a profile named after your company. You also need to make sure the domain name for your website matches the name. If you’re having trouble in this area, you may want to consider giving yourself a new name altogether.

Trademark it!

So you think your company name is the most unique thing on the planet. Maybe you called your company something like HiiiyahRoloPlexus. (Yes, that is some nonsense I just made up.) There’s simply no way anyone else could come up with such a name, right? Or maybe you’ve named the company after yourself. Perhaps your name is really exotic. You can find a great logo trade mark registration provider in TradeMarkRegistration

Whatever the case, do not assume that you don’t need to trademark your name. It doesn’t matter how unique you think it is. You should still be consulting with a trademark attorney like Xavier Morales.

Make sure you use it (often!)

If you’ve gone through the drama of creating a name, designing a logo, and trademarking everything? Then you need to make sure you actually deploy these things as much as possible. There are some companies out there that go through this trouble, perhaps for a particular product or company branch… And then do nothing else. Wrong.

The way you get your brand in people’s memories is by actually using these assets. By making sure your logo is on your website and on documentation. By calling your company by name often, to get it into people’s memories.
