Android users who are concerned about privacy can rejoice! A new, extra secure way to use Facebook has just been unveiled. Facebook’s Android app now supports browsing through Tor, as announced on Tuesday. This as-of-now experimental feature allows a user to encrypt browsing history whilst using Facebook on Android.
Support for Tor was declared by Facebook sometime around 2014. However, the feature was only supported via browser. With the most recent update, Tor can now be used directly from the Android app. The new, experimental feature initially started out as a project by a summer intern.
