Together with uSwitch, notable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer revealed five key refinements of the impending Samsung Galaxy Note 6. It is noted that the changes will let Samsung beat iPhone in terms of innovation.
The five major changes include alteration on the device’s appearance, scanner, USB type, battery and memory.
Note 6 will once again adopt Samsung’s iconic curved ‘Edge Display’, a touchscreen design present in other models of the Galaxy note such as the Galaxy S7 Edge.
Although fingerprint scanners are becoming more and more common, Samsung device makers consider iris scanners as the more promising alternative. uSwitch said the device will feature diverse sensors to respond quickly to users’ needs.
Instead of microUSB, a type-C USB will be used in Note 6, similar to the other variants of the Galaxy Note.
Following the current trend in the phone industry, Samsung will make Galaxy note 6 thicker and amp up the phone’s 5’s 3000 mAh battery to 4200 mAh. Samsung will also expand the phone’s memory up to 50% more. It will match iPhone7 by offering microSD expansion and an internal memory of 256GB.
There has been no confirmation yet, but sources reveal that Galaxy Note 6 will be water-resistant.
