This handy and informative item is a product of DietSensor, a French startup. The company unveiled their newest creation at the 2016 International Consumer Electronics Show. SCiO makes use of near-infrared spectroscopy to determine the chemical makeup of both food and drink. It can analyze substances based on how each molecules interact with light.
