Windows XP Source Code Leaks in Public

In an article published by The Verge, it has been known that both the source code for both Windows XP and Window Server 2003 leaked online. This is said to be confirmed by the Microsoft.

The codes for the two mentioned operating system are now in Torrent files passed on different sharing platforms online.

Microsoft is said to be currently investigating the matter and has stated that it is unlikely for the codes to pose significant security threat to the company.

The company has a special Government Security Program (GSP) that “allows governments and organizations controlled access to source code and other technical content”.

This is the first time that the codes leaked on public sharing sites.
